I never thought I would say this but the truly awful image below, of a cancer cell, may in our life times be a thing of the past as cancer treatments continue to become more effective. Targeted therapies such as immunotherapies, which use the body’s immune system to target and destroy tumour cells, are at the forefront of this exciting development.
